Două ore şi jumătate cred că am calculat – un timp îndelungat şi obositor pentru dansatori, o poveste superbă pentru privitori. Aşa se rezumă cel mai bine primul spectacol al Teatrului de Balet Sibiu din 2016. O multitudine de culori, paşi de dans şi poveşti m-au făcut să mă ridic în picioare la final şi să aplaud din tot sufletul. Dansatorii au arătat încă odată ce înseamnă să lucrezi cu pasiune. Nici măcar micile neplăceri cauzate de o scenă mult prea mică pentru grandoarea spectacolelor lor nu i-a demoralizat.
Dacă ar fi să aleg doar câteva momente preferate ale serii, aş alege Anna Karenina (Actul 2, momentul Adei Gonzalez, minunata noastră Anna, Ovidiu Matei Iancu, în rolul lui Vronski, Ştefan Meşter, un Karenin măreţ în interpretarea-i fabuloasă şi scumpa Briana Micu, un copil avid după iubirea mamei sale), Lacul Lebedelor (Actul 2, Adagio, în interpretarea Lorenei Negrea, o dansatoare care aseară m-a surprins plăcut cu două momente fascinante, ea fiind solistă şi în pasajul din Don Quijote).
La fille mal gardee este inevitabil pe listă (Actul 2, Pas de Deux, momentul Adei şi al lui Joshua Legge), spectacol urmat de Dincolo de dans (Pas de deux, moment interpretat de Yvonne Slingerland şi Ovidiu Matei Iancu, dansatori care au reuşit pentru a doua oară să mă aducă aproape la lacrimi) şi inevitabil Tura-Vura. Uvertura, un spectacol pe care îl aştept mereu cu multă dragoste şi entuziasm, creaţia a doi oameni fabuloşi, Aleisha Gardner şi Russell Hewey. Nu aş putea să uit, bineînţeles, nici de Steps Between Steps, un moment mult prea scurt pentru cât de bine a fost interpretat de Elliot Bourke.
Am trecut progresiv de la o emoţie la alta. Am râs, am stat cu sufletul la gură şi am urmărit unele momente pe care am avut plăcerea să le văd pentru prima dată.
Două ore şi jumătate – prea puţin pentru cât de frumos a fost.

The 2016 Ballet Gala – hypnotic
Two hours and a half I think it lasted – too long of a time for the dancers, an amazing story for the audience. This is the way I could best describe the Sibiu Ballet Theatre’s first show from 2016. A kaleidoscope of dance steps and stories that made me stand up and applaud with all my heart and soul at the end of the show. The dancers showed us once more what working with passion looks live. Not even the little inconveniences caused by a stage too small for grandeur of their performances couldn’t hold them down.
If I were to choose only a few of the performances that really spoke to me last night, I would definitely choose once more Anna Karenina (Act 2, interpreted by Ada Gonzalez, our beloved Anna, Ovidiu Matei Iancu, in the role of Vronski, Ştefan Meşter, so brilliant in his fabulous performance and the lovely Briana Micu, a child so fond of a mother’s love), Swan Lake (Act 2, Adagio, interpreted by Lorena Negrea, a ballerina who surprised me in the best way last night with two fascinating moments – she was also the soloist in the passage from Don Quijote).
La fille mal gardee is inevitably on my list (Act 2, Pas de Deux, Ada’s moment alongside Joshua Legge), followed by Dincolo de dans (Pas de Deux, interpreted by Yvonne Slingerland and Ovidiu Matei Iancu, who managed for the second time to bring me on the verge of crying) and inevitably Tura-Vura.Uvertura, a show very close to my heart as it is choreographed by two fabulous people, Aleisha Gardner and Russell Hewey. I couldn’t forget, of course, Steps Between Steps, a moment too short for how amazing Elliot Bourke’s performance was.
I gradually went from an emotion to another. I laughed, I was thrilled and I had the great pleasure of watching some moments I had never seen before.
Two hours and a half – too short for how beautiful it was.
